This lesson reviews how to get pictures, and various other supported plan file types imported into Precision Plan Pro.
P3 Page Plan Tools
Clicking the “Overlay” button will bring up the file explorer
Navigate to the location your plans are saved to.
Select the page you wish to perform the takeoff on. Click “Import”
Note: After clicking import, the plan page will ‘follow’ the cursor, clicking at the desired position on the gray canvas area will “glue” the page, you have now completed importing a plan.
.pdf, .png, .gif, .bmp, .jpg, .dxf
are the currently supported file types that P3 recognizes

These sidebars can filter takeoffs that are on each page, offering you optimum flexibility, and the needed data always displayed.
Plan Overlay Tools
The selection tool is used for selecting any object in P3, including imported plan pages!
The rotate tool is used for rotating a plan page in P3
Holding shift will snap rotating to 45° increments.
click once to activate the tool, adjust the plan into position and click once more to glue the plan
The Quick scale tool is used for quickly scaling an imported page in P3
be sure to check that the scale.
For optimum takeoff output results, be sure check both a vertical and horizontal distance with the calibration checker.
The move page tool is used for quickly moving the position of an imported page in P3
